Crazy Ass Rumors

Welcome back to Crazy Ass Rumors. The title pretty much sums it up so let's get started.

* Silver Age Flash, Barry Allen has been dead for a long time. He died during a little crossover called "Crisis on Infinite Earths". Every time DC has a Crisis, the fanboys demand the return of Barry Allen. With Grant Morrison's "Final Crisis" approaching, fans of the original scarlet speedster are speculating that this could be the event that would return Barry Allen to the realm of the living. The rumor I've come across is that Barry Allen is returning but in the form of a Black Lantern. After a small stint as a Black Lantern he will be restored to his good old living self. Does this mean Wally is going to die during "Final Crisis"?

* The secret invasion going on in the Marvel universe has everyone curious as to who is or isn't a Skrull. Before the invasion started we were promised by Marvel that Tony Stark was NOT a Skrull. Many fans wanted to believe that Mr.Stark would be revealed as a Skrull and not just the dick that started Civil War. Now there's a strong rumor going around that Tony Stark is a Skrull but has only been one since the end of Civil War.

* Speaking of Skrulls. Johnny Storm from the Fantastic Four once married a Skrull. Look for her to return in the "Fantastic Four: Secret Invasion" special. There's now a rumor going around that Johnny wasn't the only hero to marry someone with green skin. The Black Panther has a secret invasion tie-in coming up from writer Jason Aaron. Some are speculating that this tie-in will reveal that Black Panther's wife, Storm is actually a Skrull. This might also explain as to why Storm will be back with the X-Men in Warren Ellis' "Astonishing X-Men" run.

* DC Comics has been giving Batman rouge, The Penguin a pretty good run lately. Rumor has it they're killing him off in the last issue of "Gotham Underground".

This week I've come across two cool videos. The first gives you a look at sci-fi shows that never made it past a pilot. You'll understand why after you watch some of it. It also shows you a few scenes from the Dr.Strange pilot episode.




The next video is one I came across a few weeks ago. It's a fan film based on Robert Kirkman's Marvel Zombies. Great work on this one.

Holy Shit We're Under Attack!

Years of planning by Marvel Comics and award winning writer Brian Bendis (New Avengers, Mighty Avengers) have started to pay off as Secret Invasion issue 1 hit newsstands this past Wednesday. Bendis is once again teamed up with artist Leinil Yu (New Avengers) to bring us eight issues of Skrully goodness.

Here's what you need to know so far. The Skrulls are the shapesfiting aliens of the Marvel Universe. Not to long ago the Skrulls home planet was destroyed. The survivors of this tragedy decided that Earth should be their new home, and for years have been planning a very hostile takeover. In the past Skrulls were identifiable to the heroes of the Marvel Universe, now not so much. Last year the tag line for "Civil War" was "Whose Side Are You On?", this year fans are presented with a new question, "Who Do You Trust?"

Every week we plan on taking a look at what's going in the Marvel Universe as the Secret Invasion goes very public. We will recap who has been outed as a Skrull and how might still be in the green closet. Here are a few of the facts that we know already.

* Elektra was the first hidden Skrull to be found by the New Avengers while in Japan.

* Black Bolt was the second to be outed as a Skrull at the end of World War Hulk.

* During issue one it was revealed that "Dum Dum" Duggan, Jarvis, and Hank Pym have all been skrulls for some time now.

* The prison doors of the Raft and the Cube are now open to cause complete chaos.

* Either Captain Marvel or Captain Marvel Skrull has attacked The Thunderbolts.

* Tony Stark is completely screwed by a virus that has effected everything on Earth.

* A ship has crash landed in the Savage Land. The people who have emerged from the ship seem to be heroes from Marvel's 70's era that include, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Ms.Marvel, Spider-Man, Jean Grey, Beast, Emma Frost, Mockingbird, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and more.

* One last thing to keep in mind. With the people that have been revealed as Skrulls so far we can now state that for some amount of time the Skrulls have led ninja clan known as The Hand. Ruled the Kingdom of the Inhumans. Worked inside S.H.E.I.L.D. as a senior officer. Helped establish The Initiative. And most importantly did the laundry for the Mighty Avengers. The Marvel Universe is so screwed.

More details will be spilling out of the pages of New Avengers and Mighty Avengers in the coming weeks. For speculations and rumors, keep an eye open for "Crazy Ass Rumors" later this week.

Site News

So the first post of the week is the boring one that just keeps you up to date on what's new. I mentioned earlier that I would have a new mailing list for the site. That list is actually limited in size so right now I have 8 spots open.

In the coming days I'll be starting back up posts like, "News You Already Know" and "Crazy Ass Rumors". Also, just as CDH had all the late breaking news for last year's Marvel "Civil War", CDH will have all the breaking news as we present "Holy Shit We're Under Attack!"

Also get ready for the 2008 New York Comicon Video Blog to start up shortly. Just like last year the Triple Threat of Cee Diddy, Shane-O-Mac, and Ky!e will be invading NYC in less than two weeks. Last year we brought you the con through digital pictures, this time CDH will present you the Con in beautiful digital video.

Finally on a sad note I've decided that one of the best ways to really promote CDH would to have a myspace account for the website. I hate myspace. Personally I don't have one and never will have one for my personal life. Setting one up for CDH would be a move to help bring in more readers. Once the myspace is up and running we'll have a link so you can request to be a part of the action. Let me make it clear that all the posts are still going to be on this site. The myspace will only be there to advertise CDH.

THE RETURN OF....shit you already know.

As I sat in my study pondering on a super hero costume that would strike fear in to the souls of criminals, I was shocked when a copy of Wizard magazine came crashing though my window. I haven't read Wizard magazine ever since a little thing called "The Internet" was invented. Luckily I had Taco Bell for dinner so I needed something to read while visiting Browntown.

I had just paid the first toll on my way to Browntown when I realized that this could be the biggest spring/summer of all time for comic book fanboys. If you don't believe me just take a look at this list of nerdcore events coming soon.

News You Already Know

Comic Con has come and gone and once again I didn't get to go. Next year will be a different story though. Now if you want GOOD coverage of this years Comic Con, then you should be going to Newsarama.com. As usual they were there and had GREAT coverage of the whole event. But if you only have the attention span of a small child on a sugar high, Cee Diddy Holla is the place to gets of your "News You Already Know", now in bite-size morales.

* Warren Ellis and Simone Bianchi will taking over Astonishing X-Men. Expect the line-up to change from the current roster. Also this run will take place in regular continuity.

* Grant Morrison and J.G Jones will be bringing us DC's Final Crisis and I couldn't be happier.

* The Iron Man footage shown at the Con owned everyone's fan boy ass. Including mine. You can see the footage over at ComicBookResources.com.

* The creative teams have been announced for the cash cow that will be Amazing Spider-Man 3x a month. Dan Slott, Steve McNiven, Marc Guggenheim, Salvador Larrocca, Bob Gale, Phil Jimenez, Zeb Wells, and Chris Bachalo. That's a mothfull.

* Judd Winick and Ian Churchill will be brining us Titans East. The interesting thing about this is that Titan East were mentioned in the story arc that featured the Future Titans that made up a team of villains. It now seems that the Titan East referred to in that story wasn't the team that Deathstroke put together but perhaps this new one.

* The trailer for the new animated Spectacular Spider-Man was shown at the Con and I must say that it looked pretty good. Expect to see villains, Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Venom, The Vulture, and Electro. Also the mechanical web shooters return.

* Terry Moore and Humberto Ramos will be taking over Runaways, who cares?

* The Dark Knight teaser trailer hit the web too. For those who have seen, it is the definition of "teaser trailer". I liked it though.

Site Re-Imagining

So for most of the summer I've been on vacation from working on the site. So after a lot of thinking and I've decided to re-launch the site(again). So here's the breakdown of content you can expect from New Cee Diddy Holla.

* Cee Diddy Ponders - This is my new little cartoon that shows my inner deep thoughts.

* Rantings, Ramblings, & Cantankerous Writings - The bulk of the site will now be made up of posts that reveal my different opinions and views while forcing them down your throat in a witty nonthreatening way. I've got a lot to get off my chest and if just one person reads it while waiting for their porn to download, then I've done my job.
